Kalamazoo River Valley Trail Photography for Kalamazoo County Parks

This Kalamazoo River Valley Trail photography session highlights one of Michigan’s most beloved multi-use paths through both ground-level storytelling and sweeping drone imagery.

Spanning 24 miles—and eventually 35—the Kalamazoo River Valley Trail (KRVT) connects parks, neighborhoods, and downtown Kalamazoo with a safe, scenic 10-foot wide paved pathway.

As a commercial photographer based in Kalamazoo, I’m always drawn to the moments where people and place meet. For this session, I focused on capturing the different perspective that drone photography offers—showcasing the trail’s natural beauty, community use, and sense of movement from above.
