Kalamazoo Family Photography | Let's Play at the Park

Kalamazoo family photography doesn't have to happen in a field at sunset. Some of the most meaningful photographs happen when children are free to be exactly who they are. I often tell families that happy kids are more important than golden hour because, let's face it, golden hour is often after bedtime. So instead of chasing perfect light, we planned this session for a summer morning at the playground.

We started with one classic portrait, the kind that looks beautiful framed on the wall and makes grandparents smile. Then we put the posing aside and let the girls lead the way.

My hope is that years from now, these photographs won't just remind this family what the playground looked like. They'll remind them what it felt like to slow down and spend a summer morning together.
