When I have to decide between a color image or a black and white image, I usually prefer the color image for a couple reasons. First, I gravitate towards soft golden hour lighting and how that lighting highlights the different colors in a scene. Second, I don't think every image converts to black and white and that's why I don't give every image in black and white in my client galleries. But...when the right conditions come together (strong defined highlights from a good light source, dark shadows, a true white, a true black and real connection + emotion) I would choose a black and white any day.
