Last summer I photographed Jack's senior pictures and got to know this awesome family. This fall I had the privilege of photographing this gorgeous mom and her two teenage sons together on a Sunday afternoon in October. I will never forget Wendy's warning to me... "Don't blink...they grow up too quickly." This is a truth every mother knows but does not want to accept. It's hard to watch our children grow and change from the babies we took home from the hospital. We are reminded of this growth every day as we sort through outgrown clothing, admire their ever-changing vocabulary and mourn the loss of their once favorite activities. Perhaps our greatest challengeis finding the joy in the changes and living in the moments we have rather than looking back at was was or looking forward at what will be. The moment is all we have and it's beautiful.
