28 + Sunny.

Before I meet a client in person, we usually correspond via email to plan and discuss the shoot. As I have mentioned in previous posts, I send a questionnaire to get to know my clients and their expectations. In one of this family's emails, they said something that I think it worth sharing because I loved their positive attitude and openness to letting the shoot happen.

"With photos there is just really no controlling the situation with little ones I have learned. So, it's best to just go with the flow and be thankful to capture every moment, even the fussy ones. At some point those will be fun to look back on, even if they don't provide the most ideal photos at the present.

It was 28 degrees when we met for our shoot at 9:30am. This family came prepared with their newborn baby boy (12 weeks), their daughter (2 years old) bundled in warm layers and their great attitude. If you are curious about what to bring to a morning session with me, refer to this blog post, Early Birds. Although it was chilly, the sun was out and the lighting was gorgeous, creating a soft diffused glow on the remaining Fall leaves. Together we made the best of the situation and captured a little piece of this family's story.
