Last fall my daughter participated in the collaboration between the Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan and the W.E. Upjohn M.D. Campus at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo Michigan to earn her first aid badge! It was very inspiring to witness medical students working to empower eight year old girls by teaching them first aid basics and by giving them hands-on experience with the state of the art equipment they use to save lives.
