There are times in life when we find ourselves in the space between - existing between what was and what will be - a change of seasons both literally and figuratively. September is one of my favorite months for photographing families in Michigan. Change is thick in the air as kids go back to school. It's a time for new beginnings. This family lifestyle session took place at my client's home and in their neighborhood on a record hot September evening somewhere between summer and fall. Take a peek.
And the picture below is one of the reasons I love lifestyle sessions...the focus is less on posed pictures and more on letting life happen - pictures are more spontaneous and authentic. In this pic below little brother decided he wanted to get his body traced by big sister too.
