I am always amazed when I return to the beach where I spent my childhood in Northern Michigan. Its a magical place - real, raw and in a constant state of change...(a true metaphor for life). On a daily basis the waves create new pools, inlets and land bridges. Connections fade and new connections are made. Fossilized artifacts from the past hide like treasures beneath the surface, waiting to be discovered. We search through the millions of rocks, unique and beautiful in their own way, for "skippers" and "tumblers". Here, among the endless layers of blue hues, we wonder what stories and secrets from our past exist within these fossilized remnants that we hold in our hands.
