Dear fall,
You have always been my favorite season. I listed you on every childhood All About Me Poster. Favorite food? Pizza. Favorite color? Blue. Favorite song? Tracy Chapman's Fast Car (played over and over on my yellow Sony Walkman). Favorite season? Fall. Well Fall, I have to be upfront and honest with you, you have been demoted. Spring has stolen my heart and it's time I come clean with you. It's not you, it's me. See, although I love your beautiful dramatic colors and sweater weather, I know what comes next. When those last leaves fall from the trees, those arctic winds and snow swoop in and make themselves rather comfortable. If you live in Michigan, like me, it's a safe bet that winter is going to stay awhile. Spring on the other hand means winter is over. It's an awakening from the dormancy, a reminder that there is hope and rebirth even after the darkest days. Don't worry, fall...we can still be friends and share a good glass of apple cider together but for now I am embracing the blossoms and the color.
xo,
Sarah
P.s. Make sure to stop by Bethany's 10 on 10 next.
