It's been awhile since I have shared a 10 on 10 post (10 of my personal lifestyle images on the 10th of the month). Last month my oldest daughter celebrated her 9th birthday. Birthdays are (and always will be) a bittersweet realization for me as a mom that another year has passed. Somehow my daughter has evolved from a helpless 7lb 15oz newborn into a strong willed, beautiful, creative, talented and introspective child who never ceases to amaze (or challenge) me. She has a voracious appetite for books (especially historical fiction), is a wildly talented artist and is a sweet sensitive soul who somehow mysteriously developed a penchant for roasted brussel sprouts in the last month.
I know her choices in life won't always be as easy as picking out her preferred flavor of gelato (see picture below) but it's my hope and prayer that she continues to develop the tools, skills and wisdom she needs to make the harder choices in life. Happy birthday "J-bug" - I love you with all of my heart. It's a true honor to be your mother.
