Summer 2016

Tomorrow, September 21, marks the last day of summer for 2016. The crazy season for photographers is in full swing and like many photographers; my days are consumed with either shooting or editing family sessions. While our focus is on the fall and what lies ahead, I would be remiss if I didn't highlight some moments from last summer, as I was too busy shooting and editing to blog every session. While the majority of my clients live in the Kalamazoo area, I traveled to many different Michigan destinations last summer including Holland, South Haven, Grand Rapids, Traverse City and Richland to photograph clients of all ages. From behind my lens, I documented families who celebrated new milestones, welcomed new babies, got engaged, said "I do" and who gathered with family members near and far at family reunions. These families played together, went for boat rides, splashed in puddles and weren't afraid to get their feet dirty because that's what summer is all about. Although the setting of each session was different, the goal for me was the same - to capture the love and the light we share with those closest to us.

A special thank you to the clients who trusted me to photograph these special family moments for them. Don’t worry, I won't be posting any holiday card spoilers (family shots) - Just a few candid moments with a few portraits mixed in for good measure. Enjoy.
