From Field to Tray: Exploring the Contribution of Boersma Family Roots to 10 Cents a Meal in Michigan's UP

10 Cents a Meal Michigan is revolutionizing school nutrition and supporting local agriculture in the Upper Peninsula. As part of my ongoing photography project for the Michigan Department of Education, I visited Boersma Family Roots, a farm that's making a significant impact in local schools in Hancock and Houghton Michigan through this innovative program.
