Parts of the Whole

Last Sunday, I was asked to photograph multiple families in an extended family photo shoot. These are shoots were several families come together for either a reunion or a special occasion and want a group photo. While the group photo is the main focus of the extended family shoot, I believe there is so much more to it that just that. There are so many relationships within the whole...and it's these relationships that are the roots of the family tree, white the large group photo is the whole tree.

Ted Grant said, "When you photograph people in color, you photograph their clothes, when you photograph people in black and white, you photograph their soul."

For this post, I choose to post the black and white images that show those little soulful relationships that make up the Wespinter family.
